Long Standing Members
- You may take up to 90 days leave, during which if you are inactive (i.e. not submitting one accepted PIREP per 31 days) you will remain a member.
- To take leave, log in to the website and edit your profile. Click the “take leave” button under “take temporary LOA“.
- You will remain on leave until you change this in your profile, file a PIREP, or your account is closed for exceeding the leave allowance.
New Members
- New members get no leave for the first three months of their time with BAVirtual. A full year of leave is 90 days, so new members get a pro rata amount of the 90 days for the remainder of the year after the three month probation has passed.
Special Circumstances
- If you have specific circumstances that mean you will not be able to meet the activity requirements in the Policy please open a ticket with the Membership Department who can explore the possibility of granting additional leave credit.
- Where the activity policy repeatedly cannot be met or will be for a long time, it may not be possible to approve additional leave.
